A ton of rubbish has been removed from the streets of Bootle after a six-week crackdown on environmental issues and anti-social behavior.
Police officers, Sefton Council and local housing agencies carried out a number of initiatives and activities in the area.
‘Operation Respect’ included: SmartWater kits given to housing associations for residents.
Jon Coote said: “Over the six weeks, we have seen some real improvements in littering and other anti-social behavior issues in the area, but this needs to continue in the coming weeks and months.
Cllr Trish Hardy, cabinet member for communities and housing, said: “Operation Respect was a real success and I really hope the good work is not forgotten and continues in the months ahead.”
