On Monday 24th of September 2018, SmartWater CSI claimed the prestigious award of Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer of the Year. The winners of the US Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) were honoured at a networking lunch where 3,000 security professionals gathered to celebrate outstanding performance. The awards were presented at Global Security Exchange (GSX) in Las Vegas.

Founder of the OSPAs Professor Martin Gill said “The security sector plays a vital role in safeguarding us all and it is encouraging to see so many individuals, teams and companies nominated for an OSPA.”

The OSPAs reconginse and reward companies and individuals who have performed at an exceptional level across the security sector. The OSPAs are designed to be both independent and inclusive, providing an opportunity for outstanding performers, whether individuals or companies to be recognised and their success to be celebrated.

Each judge is a security expert with experience and knowledge of working within the country’s security sector. Judges are shortlisted by partner organizations working with the OSPAs and then independently reviewed by the international OSPAs team.

SmartWater CSI has two main products, one for the tagging of assets and the other to mark Intruders, as the short video from the Smithsonian Institute explains:

Applications range from home owners protecting household items such as jewellery, smart devices and automobiles to businesses tagging assets such as copper wire, computers and cargo.

The Company’s scientists developed a newly patented ‘high performance’ traceable liquid, for use by police, security integrators and risk managers, specifically designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions found throughout the USA. Working closely with scientists at Florida International and Shawnee State University, SmartWater CSI is now fully accredited and has been accepted as evidence in both the Federal and State Courts.
